NATIONAL YOUTH ORCHESTRA OF WALES

The National Youth Orchestra of Wales traces its origins back to 1945, and proudly holds the claim of being the oldest youth orchestra in the world.

Comprised of around 100 members per year, the Orchestra has held performances full of energy and passion since 1946, and regularly works with esteemed, professional musicians, composers and collaborators to deliver a first-class experience for its members and audiences alike.

The orchestra has performed at revered venues across the UK such as Cardiff’s St David’s Hall, Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall and the Sage Gateshead, as well as internationally in places such as Berlin, Strasbourg and Ischia.
